Hollywoof hopefuls line up for doggy oscars

As Hollywood’s biggest stars get ready to grace the red carpet for this year’s Oscars, Dogs Trust Newbury is asking dog lovers across Berkshire to consider offering a starring role to one of its coveted canines.

Could you offer one of these canine stars their big break in a new home?  The nominations are:

Best Actor in a Leading Role (Henry, Nine-year-old Spaniel cross)

Handsome Henry is a distinguished gent who is looking for a home where he can spend his twilight years away from the spotlight. He can be worried when meeting new people but with a little patience, he will soon become a fast friend. Henry would like new owners to visit him a few times to build up a bond before he is ready to be the star of the show in his own home. He is looking for a calm, adult home with no other pets so he can have the limelight to himself.

Best Supporting Actors (Bailey & Rocky, 12 years old, Beagle and Terrier)

Bailey and Rocky are already winners in the Supporting Role category – playing each other’s partners-in-crime. Whilst they may be in their golden years, Bailey and Rocky love the active Hollywoof lifestyle and are at their happiest when spending time wagging around town together. Bailey and Rocky would love to live the life of luxury in Beverley Hills but would be just as happy in a home in Berkshire, as long as there is a spare sofa or a comfy, warm bed waiting for them at the end of the day.

Best Actress (Trish, Five-year-old greyhound)

Elegant Trish has the grace of an old Hollywood icon and is now hoping she can win the heart of an adoring owner. Trisha is a sociable girl who loves to stay active. After a long walk, she loves nothing more than to relax and curl up on the sofa or comfy bed and watch her favourite movies. A typical leading lady, Trish loves to have her owner’s attention to herself so would like to be the only pet in the home.

If you think you could roll out the red carpet to your home for any of these stars, please get in touch with Dogs Trust Newbury on 0300 303 0292
