Dogs Trust Newbury is currently caring for an unusual looking Chihuahua who has been nicknamed 'Dobby' because of her striking resemblance to the mischevious house elf from Harry Potter.
With her huge, elf-like ears and almond eyes, tiny five-year-old Kendall a.k.a Dobby caught the eye of staff when she arrived at the rehoming centre with her best friend, three-year-old Chihuahua Winky earlier this month. Her remarkable similarity to Dobby has already caused a bit of a stir amongst visitors and she soon left a new owner spellbound.
Just like the real Dobby, Kendall is a loyal girl who how managed to cast a love spell over new owners and will soon be departing the rehoming centre to become part of a devoted family. Whilst she wouldn’t be out of place at ‘Dogwarts’, she will be heading to a loving home where she and her best friend Winky can be free to cause a little bit of mischief and have a whole lot of fun.
Nicki Barrow, Rehoming Centre Manager at Dogs Trust Newbury explains,
“Kendall is an adorable girl who is a real ‘wizard’ when it comes to making new doggy friends. She has been conjuring up so much love from her carers here and we are delighted that she has found her perfect home. It’s amazing how much she looks like Dobby and just like her doppleganger, she is such a loyal, funny character who will make a fantastic family pet in the right home. We know she will be a magic addition to any household and I can’t wait to see her potter off to her new home with the loving family she deserves.”
