'Big-boned' Bungle is sizing up a new home!
Dogs Trust Newbury is appealing for a home for Bungle – a gentle giant with a huge heart who, at 50kg, is by far and away the largest dog at the rehoming centre and staff believe he is struggling to find a home because of his size.
Five-year old Crossbreed Bungle first arrived at the rehoming centre in 2011 as a tiny puppy weighing just 12kg. Fast-forward five years and Bungle (who now weighs the same as a baby hippo) has recently found himself back in kennels due to a change in his owner’s circumstance.
This gentle giant, who is the rehoming centre’s biggest resident might be on the larger side, but he has a huge heart to match and staff hope that people will see be able to look past his size and offer him the loving home he deserves.
Nicki Barrow, Dogs Trust Newbury Rehoming Centre Manager says,
“Bungle is a gentle giant who might just be the biggest dog we have ever seen! He is 50kg of pure love and fur and we can’t understand why he is yet to find his forever home.”
“Bungle’s a toy mad boy who is at his happiest when chasing after a tennis ball so he is best suited to a home with a large, secure garden where he can play to his heart’s content. He is looking for an adult only household where he can continue his training and get to know his new owners at his own pace.”
