Volunteer Administrator

Our volunteer administrators work closely with Dogs Trust employees on a wide and changing range of tasks. Mostly desk-based, they support the work of Dogs Trust by completing a variety of administrative duties.

Volunteer Canine Assistant

We are currently recruiting a Volunteer Canine Assistant to support and assist the Canine Carers to ensure our animal accommodation facilities are cleaned, maintained and in excellent condition and to help provide essential exercise and enrichment activities for the dogs.

Volunteer Gardener and Grounds Assistant

We are currently recruiting a Volunteer Gardener and Grounds Assistant to assist the Maintenance Operative by maintaining outdoor areas and to keep the centre clean, tidy and well presented.

Volunteer Home Visitor

We are currently recruiting Volunteer Home Visitors to work within Dogs Trust's standards and Health and Safety guidelines to assess the suitability of prospective new adopters' homes, and ensure all customers receive a first class level of service.

Volunteer Laundry Assistant

We are currently recruiting a Volunteer Laundry Assistant to ensure our dogs have clean and fresh blankets/bedding available by supporting our Canine Carers in carrying out tasks associated with our on-site laundry.

We are looking for dedicated Foster Carers to help care for some of our dogs who prefer to be outside of kennel life for various reasons.

To apply you must meet the following criteria:

  • Have your own private, secure garden
  • Be home most of the day
  • No cats in the home
  • Have your own transport
  • Live no more than an hour from the centre
