Happy Sparrow looking for a home
Dogs Trust Newbury rehoming appeal
Two-year-old Lurcher, Sparrow, is a happy lad who has a real zest for life. He loves the company of both two and four-legged friends so would love an active home with another canine friend to keep him company.
Nicki Barrow, Rehoming Centre Manager at Dogs Trust Newbury, said: “Sparrow is a real sweetheart who loves the company of people and other dogs. He can often be found snuggling with his kennel mate or having fuss from his canine carers as he’s such an affectionate boy.
“He can be very playful and enjoys going out for walks so is looking for an active home with owners who can take him on lots of interesting walks for him to explore – but like a typical Lurcher, he enjoys a lazy afternoon snooze, too! He would prefer owners who are around for most of the day initially where any time left alone can be built up once he’s found his confidence.
“He’s still quite young and although he does have some basic training, he’d really benefit from more in his new home to help him reach his full potential. Sparrow is a real gem and will make a perfect companion in the right home.”
Sparrow could live with children aged eight years and over who don’t mind a bouncy, playful dog. Other dogs give him confidence so he will need to go to a home with another established dog who’s happy to have a playmate.
