Were all WOOFING for Dawn
Now only 1 day left until Ride London, our Volunteer Dawn is training extra hard to prepare to cycle 100 miles to raise money for Dogs Trust.
Prudential Ride London is a festival of cycling, developed by the Mayor of London and his agencies in partnership with Surrey County Council. Staged for the first time in August 2013, it is the largest festival of cycling in the world with more than 100,000 participants expected to cycle more than three million miles in six different events over the weekend of 3-4 August 2019.
Dawn will be taking part in the Prudential Ride London-Surrey which will take her through the capital into Surrey’s countryside views. Dawn will ride alongside 17 other members of team Dogs Trust, hoping to raise funds for the hounds.
Dawn’s start time is 7am on Sunday 4th August and those who want to cheer her on can get down to Buckingham Palace for 5pm. Look out for the bright yellow Dogs Trust branded vest!
We all gathered to see Dawn ride off after a morning of Volunteering at the centre, even the dogs came down to wag and wave her off as she started her journey home. Dawn has put in many hours of training and we couldn’t be prouder of the effort she has made.
We wish Dawn all the success and endurance in her ride and look forward to hearing all about it when she next comes in, I’m sure she may need a week or two off to recover – I know I would!
Good luck Dawn from all of us at the Newbury centre, were all WOOFing for you!
