Spirited away to his fur-ever home!

Spirit (and his blankets) find a forever home

Spirit, a Staffordshire Bull Terrier, enjoying life with his blankets

After 7 months of waiting, gorgeous Staffordshire Bull Terrier Cross, Spirit, has been whisked away to his forever home.

Spirit’s always been a huge fan of snoozing under blankets - so much so that he was often overlooked in the centre because he liked to bury himself so deep, you couldn’t always spot where he was!

After a short time in the centre, an opportunity came up for Spirit to spend some time in a foster home. He jumped at the chance and went out to meet his foster family, where he very quickly found his paws on the sofa and under the blankets.

Spirit thrived in his foster home which was clear by the fantastic pictures his foster mum would send us, often resulting in fits of laughter from the team as he would be on his back, legs in the air, teeth out and snoozing away! Of course he would be buried under a blanket too! Home life suited him well, as he could wander around the home with his blanket on!

It was these photos on our website that caught the eye of Spirit’s new owner. When they came to meet Spirit at the centre it was love at first sight. After a few meetings and a trip to visit his new home, Spirit packed his bags (with his blankets in tow), woofed goodbye to his foster paw-rents and went off to start a wonderful happy life with his new owners.

It's all thanks to his wonderful foster home that Spirit was able to come out of his shell, stand out from the crowd and finally find his paw-fect home.

We couldn’t be happier for Spirit; he is an amazing dog and his new owner is very lucky.

Could you help a dog like Spirit?

We are looking for Foster Carers who could care for medium to large breed dogs in an adult only home. We have several gorgeous hounds who would love their chance to discover themselves in a home environment and show their potential to prospective new owners.
