Olive goes camping!
Olive, a French Bulldog, takes a camping trip with her foster family.
Dog Trust Newbury's lovely little Olive is learning all about the variety of life in her foster home this weekend. Her foster family took her camping in the New Forest and she loved it!
Olive is an eleven-month-old French Bulldog who is very worried by new environments and new people. She likes to take her time to get to know people and settle in at her own pace. Her foster family have been working very hard to help her confidence grow and this weekend the hard work paid off as Olive thrived in her little holiday home. We are all very proud of her!
Olive enjoyed snoozing by the fire, stealing her foster mum’s chair and blanket, and playing Queen of the camp as she took pride of place where she could have the best view of the New Forest. She loved snuggling up on her foster carers' laps in the evenings, enjoying the gorgeous variety of walks and being able to explore all the different scenic views and new smells that she had not yet encountered.
After a hard day’s work being a busy puppy, the best part of the day was snuggling up into a warm bed after a tasty dinner, ready to start the day again.
Our foster homes help dogs like Olive learn about home life and the joys in their own time; they enable the dogs to experience, learn and adjust to new environments and people that they may not have met before. Our foster homes are very valuable to us and we are so grateful for all that they do to help our hounds.
