Our lovely Ellie is an 11-year-old Jack Russell Terrier. She is a sparky girl who loves to be out and about or at home playing with her toys. She is currently loving life in a foster home while she awaits her fur-ever home.
Our foster coordinator Shannon treated Ellie to an enriching day at the beach. Our Volunteer Dawn went along with her camera to capture Ellie’s lovely day.
Ellie loved feeling the sand on her paws and wind behind her ears and jumped paws-first into the sea. She had a little paddle in the shallow end before enjoying a picnic lunch that her foster mum has packed for her.
After running down the beach and hopping on and off anything she could find to explore, Ellie found herself a grassy sand dune which of course needed to be rolled in! She made full use of all the open space and had the empty beach to herself most of the day.
Ellie enjoyed the company of her canine carers on her day out, walking beautifully down the beach and putting all of her training to good use. The day was so stimulating and fun for Ellie, she was so tired by the end of it, she slept the whole way home and went straight to bed when she got back to the centre.
Safe to say Ellie left feeling 90% happy and 10% sandy after her day at the beach. Ellie is looking for an adult only home where she can be given the time to settle in and adjust to her new environment.
