Can you help make it a Merry Christmas for homeless hounds?
With just a few weeks to go until Dogs Trust Leeds holds its Christmas Fair, the rehoming centre is in urgent need of donations for its tombola and raffle which raise hundreds of pounds for the homeless hounds every year.
Around 100 dogs still in need of their forever homes will spend Christmas Day at the York Road centre and every penny raised at the festive fair will go towards looking after the dogs, over the festive season and beyond.
Sarah Gamble, Supporter Relations Officer, says:
"The fair is one of our biggest fundraising events of the year and we always receive great support from people. This year we are in need of things such as chocolates, candles, toys and toiletry gift sets for our tombola and raffle. It would also be great if businesses could donate things like trips to the theatre, spa days or family days out.
“Every penny we raise goes towards helping us give the dogs the best care possible so we’re hoping that once again dog-lovers across the region are able to support us.”
Visitors to the fair will have the opportunity to indulge their two-legged and four-legged friends with crafts and gifts on sale and the chance to have their photo taken in Santa Paws’ grotto where children and dogs can meet the man of the season himself. There will also be lots of festive food and refreshments.
The team would appreciate donations to be dropped off at the centre no later than Wednesday 2 December. If you have any queries, please contact Sarah on 0113 281 4937.
The fair is at the Rehoming Centre on Saturday 5 and Sunday 6 December, 12pm-3pm. Entry and parking are free.
