An adorable litter of puppies born at Dogs Trust Leeds just days before Christmas have found everlasting love - and will be heading home to spend Valentine’s Day at the heart of their new families in their forever homes.
Four-year-old rescue Lurcher Mrs Claus gave birth to the eight puppies six days before Christmas. The pups were named Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Vixen, Comet, Cupid, Donner and Blitzen by the rehoming centre team who were on hand to help deliver them and give them round-the-clock care over Christmas until they literally found their feet.
Emma Cooper, Assistant Manager at Dogs Trust Leeds, says:
“It is very special when a litter is born at the centre so there will definitely be a few tears when we wave them off with their new families.
“They are all really mischievous and have very distinct personalities so their new owners are going to have lots of fun, but there’s lots of hard work and training ahead too.
“It has been fantastic caring for them, but we couldn’t be happier that they have all found their very own special someone in time for Valentine’s Day.”
