What’s age got to do with it?
Lovely Lucy is our Star Dog of the Week
Lucy is an absolutely adorable 13 year old Staffy cross who arrived at the Leeds rehoming centre after being found as a stray. She had spent almost a year in kennels before she came to us so we really hope her Special Someone is reading this and can offer her a second chance soon.
Lucy is such a sweet girl. She may be knocking on a bit now in years, but that doesn’t seem to hold her back at all! She is incredibly active and loves to be out and about on nice long walks. She is super easy on lead, and travels well so is perfect for taking out for the day.
Since Lucy arrived she has been quite the favourite with the all the rehoming staff due to her fun personality. She simply adores to playing with her handlers, and for Lucy, the more energetic the better! She will play fetch and loves to rag on rope toys and we think she’d do this for hours if she could.
Lucy is very polite with other dogs out and about but would prefer to be the only dog in the home. She will need her owners around all the time as she loves to be with people so much. She will need a little training, but her basic commands are already there and she’s housetrained so we feel she’ is pretty much the perfect dog.
Bev, Lucy’s handler says:
“I fell in love with Lucy as soon as she arrived. She is just gorgeous, but her fun and playful nature is what won me over. I can’t believe that a girl of 13 is still so full of life! I only hope I’m still as active when I hit her age!”
If you might be the Special Someone who can offer this lovely and lively girl a loving home, please contact the Leeds rehoming centre today!
