Sarah Hey & Sarah Gamble – Leeds Supporter Relations Officers
Sarah Hey & Sarah Gamble cover Leeds and the surrounding areas
Sarah Hey has worked for Dogs Trust since 2006 as the Supporter Relations Officer (SRO) at the Leeds Rehoming Centre. Sarah Gamble has worked for Dogs Trust since 2007 and in 2012 joined Sarah H as one of the SRO’s at Leeds. The role is very varied and no two days are the same.
They offer free talks to community groups and also organise tours of the rehoming centre, as well as dealing with all the local enquiries about donations in memory of a loved one. They can also talk to you about the Canine Care Card Scheme and answer any legacy enquiries.
The annual Fun Day is also their responsibility, as well attending some other events throughout the year.
At home Sarah G is mum to 5 year old Sebastien and has a 11 year-old Border Terrier called Luna and Sarah H has 2 children Seren (6) and Woody (4) and has a small cute cross breed called Cocoa, both Luna & Cocoa are Doggy Ambassadors for the Dogs Trust and attend talks and events if the venues allow. The thing they love most about the job is the variety; meeting new people and talking about all things Dogs Trust! They also both enjoy organising events, especially all the planning that goes into the annual Fun day. Finally, a little known fact about Sarah H is that she makes a conscious effort to buy Cruelty Free or Leaping Bunny products, and is trying to reduce her families plastic waste!
