Lonely Lurcher Looking For Love!
Can you give Beautiful Barley a second chance?
We’re looking for a very special someone who can offer a loving forever home to one of our residents.
Barley, a 3 year old Lurcher who arrived at the centre recently, has already won over all the staff due to his loving nature and bouncy personality.
Since he arrived he has become a firm favourite with all the Canine Carers, and with our homeless hounds too! He has made lots of friends and has a few walking buddies who he likes to go out and about with.
He is full of energy and super playful when he’s out and about, but he also loves cuddles, lots of attention and he’s very fond of a nice bum scratch!
Unfortunately poor Barley hates being on his own, so he is looking for owners who will be with him all the time. He may even need to sleep in the same room so he feels secure.
His owners will need to have patience with him and help him with his training program. Our Training and Behaviour Team will be happy to advise and help with this and he is already making progress. You’ll also need to make regular visits to the centre to get to know him before he’ll be ready to go home.
Although he is great with other dogs out and about, we feel he’d be better suited to a home where he’ll be the only pet as he is so playful and likes to chase things.
We’re confident that in the right home, and with a little patience and work on his training, Barley has the potential to become a wonderful companion.
Check out the video below and you’ll soon see why he’s so popular!
