Lurcher hopes for fresh start this Ground'Dog' Day
Overlooked lurcher Lionel is hoping to secure a new home this Groundhog Day after having been at the centre since November 2014.
Since Lionel arrived at the centre over 1,799 dogs have been rehomed. Now this cheek chappie aged 8, is hoping to break the norm of his everyday routine in kennels; eager that it’s his turn to secure new adventures in his forever home.
Dogs Trust Harefield Rehoming Centre manager Richard Moore commented:
“Lionel is such a lovely dog and always so eager to learn, he loves his food so is an ideal candidate for further training too! He’d make a great addition to his new family and here at the centre we really hope he bags the perfect forever home that he so deserves.”
Lionel’s favourite pastimes include swimming and using his long nose to work out doggy puzzles and find the hidden treats! He is looking for active owners who have a calm home environment with a garden for him to run around in. He will need understanding and patient new owners, as his leaving hours will need to be built up gradually - and he can live with children aged 14 and over, but not cats or small furries.
If you think Lionel could be the dog that you’ve been looking for, and want to provide him with a new beginning after his time at Harefield please contact the rehoming centre.
