Home needed: Brian is a lovely boy who can be worried by new situations, so he is looking for owners who are around for most of the day to help him settle in to new life. He needs a home away from a main road as he is unsure around heavy traffic, he also has his paws crossed for a private garden to potter about in. Brian will need a low visitor household as he can be worried by new people coming into the house. Our behaviourist will talk to you about how to continue showing Brian that the world isn’t a scary place.
Age: 5 years old
Home needed: Danny is looking for an adult-only home with owners who have knowledge of sighthounds. He needs a home with a private garden and quiet walking areas. A keen lover of a comfy bed and happy with a gentle fuss, he’ll need to be the only pet in the home with no visiting children. New owners will need to be around for most of the day initially to help settle Danny in.
Age: 2 years old
Home needed: Eric is looking for experienced dog owners who live in a home set back from the road and with their own private garden. As Eric can sometimes find visitors worrying, they should be introduced gradually and our behaviourist will give you advice on how to do this. Eric is a lively and strong boy who’ll need active owners who are around for most of the day to help him settle into his new surroundings.

Home needed: Hobo is looking for very experienced owners who have time and patience to dedicate to continuing Hobo’s training, he loves to learn! He needs a quiet home without visitors and with a private garden for him to explore at his own pace. Our behaviourist will give you advice on how to help Hobo settle in, and new owners will need to visit multiple times to get to know him and build up a bond. He could potentially live with a small dog, pending successful meets.
Age: 8 years old
Home needed: Minnie came to us after her owner sadly passed away, so she is looking for a loving retirement home to call her own. Minnie is happy to meet people and she enjoys a gentle fuss. At present she doesn’t enjoy being around other dogs and will need access to quiet walks in low dog population areas. New owners will need to be around for most of the day initially to help her settle in. Minnie needs to be the only dog in the home and there should be no younger children visiting. She should settle into family life very well if given the chance.

Home needed: Rolo is looking for very kind owners who have experience of Staffies and understand have the time required to help him improve his confidence. He needs a home with a private garden away from a busy road. Our behaviourist will talk to you about Rolo's ongoing behaviour support. Rolo needs owners who are around for most of the day to help him settle and enjoy life. Once he knows you, he enjoys a gentle fuss.
Age: 6 years old Home needed: Gary is a sweet, sensitive boy who hasn't lived in a home before and will need patient and understanding owners who will take everything at his pace and allow him time to settle as he can find new environments scary. He could live with a similar sized, steady dog once home, however he is unable to live with cats. He will need owners who are happy to manage his interactions with smaller dogs, our behaviourist will give you advice about this. He’d like patient owners who are able to make multiple visits to the centre to build a strong relationship with him. He will need time and space to settle into his new home and he travels well in the car.

Home needed: Bobby is an excitable and energetic lad who knows several commands and could learn more. His love of food will certainly help with training. He is a high energy dog and will need lots of physical and mental stimulation. Bobby is looking for owners who have had big dogs before. He’ll need a secure garden in a quiet location with minimal visitors initially. Bobby needs owners who are around for most of the day to help him settle in and would like to be the centre of your attention as the only pet in the home.

Home Needed: Jet is quite a sensitive lad who can be shy to start with but once he knows you, he enjoys a fuss. He loves food so this will help you to build a bond with him and will also help with training once he is more confident. Jet is good with other dogs and could live with a similar sized steady, confident dog once home, however this is not essential. He needs a private garden and a home in a quiet location with few visitors and he’s great in the car.

He can find meeting new people worrying but Finn is super fun once you get to know him. He enjoys the company of dogs when out and about, but he will need to be the only dog in the house. Finn needs a quiet home without lots of visitors and no visiting children and he’d like direct access to his own garden.

Home Needed: Cilla is a sensitive girl who is very sociable with other dogs and could live with another dog once home, however this is not essential. Cilla will need a lot of work on her basic training but her love of food will definitely help with this! She is looking for owners who have had dogs before and understand Collie traits. New owners would need to visit multiple times, so she can build a bond with them and feel secure. She will need owners who are around for most of the day.

Home Needed: Tara is a lovely girl who enjoys the company of people and loves nothing more than a cuddle! Before arriving at Dogs Trust, Tara hadn't been socialised with other dogs and is unsure around them; she can walk with them at a distance but will need to be the only pet in the home. Tara knows sit and would like to learn more especially if treats are involved! She needs a home in a quiet location with a private garden. Her new home should not have too many visitors initially so she can settle in at her own pace.
