Harry Potter house-elf lookalike dog searching for a home
Dogs Trust West London (Harefield) is appealing to dog lovers in London to rehome Tessa, a somewhat overlooked resident, who bears a striking resemblance to Harry Potter’s pint-sized pal Dobby the elf. Will our elfish Greyhound cast a spell over you?
With her unusual elf-like ears, slim physique and long nose, staff at the rehoming centre have noticed that she resembles the Harry Potter character. Much like Dobby, Tessa is extremely loyal to her ‘masters’ – although if you accidentally hand her a sock, chances are she will still come back to you – and is longing to find a loving new owner to offer her the ‘furrytail’ ending she deserves. While she wouldn’t be out of place at ‘Dogwarts’, she is looking to ’charm’ a new owner and find a home to call her own and have a whole load of fun.
Dogs Trust West London Rehoming Centre Manager, Richard Moore, said:
“Tessa bears a mysterious likeness to Dobby from Harry Potter, with her large, elf-like ears and wide, almond-shaped eyes. She’s really popular among canine carers here at the rehoming centre but we’re all hoping she finds her magical ending very soon and somebody will come forward to offer her that happy ever after.
“Tessa was found as a stray, so we are unsure what experience, if any, she has of a home environment. Things like leaving hours will need to be built up slowly to ensure she is comfortable. She loves to play and bounce around with other dogs so could live with one, if personalities match. Due to her gentle nature, she can live with children aged 10 and above.
“This beautiful girl is just looking for a home that can help her flourish and continue to come out of her shell.”
If Tessa has left you spellbound and you are interested in rehoming this magical girl, please give Dogs Trust West London rehoming centre a call on 01895 544544.
