Meet Irene: Your local Supporter Relations Officer
Irene Anidjah covers London and surrounding areas
I started working as Supporter Relations Officer in January 2018 at our West London rehoming centre in Harefield.
Having volunteered as a dog walker many years ago at Harefield, little did I know, that years later I’d be back working here full-time and fulfilling my passion of working with Dogs.
Every day is never the same, it’s so varied, though that’s what I enjoy the most!
I offer free talks to community groups and organise tours of the rehoming centre, as well as dealing with all the local enquiries about donations in memory of a loved one. I can also talk to you about the Canine Care Card Scheme and answer any legacy enquiries. I have two family Springer Spaniels called Bella and Abby. As the girls are opposite ages with Bella the oldest at 9yrs and Abby 3years- they definitely complement one another with energy levels!
At home I have a British blue house cat called Thomas, who has a white moustache!
The aspect I like best about my job is that I get to interact with our supporters daily, hearing their stories and connection with Dogs Trust.
It’s great to be able to get out to events to meet people and talk about our amazing work and speak to like-minded dog lovers! Finally, a little-known fact about me, I am a massive butterfly and Harry Potter fan!
If you would like any information about booking a talk or tour for your community group or are enquiring about the Canine Care Card Scheme or legacies, then please don’t hesitate to call me on 01895 453951 or email me at [email protected]
