Wags and woofs at pawsome Fun Day for Dogs Trust Evesham

Dogs Trust Evesham is celebrating after yet another successful Fun Day on Sunday 24th June.

With the weather on their side and after many months of planning and organising, the team were delighted to see so many people come along to the event at Ragley Hall and show their support. An amazing £16,700 was raised with more pennies still being counted.

The highlight of the day as ever was the Fun Dog Show, where ex-Dogs Trust Evesham resident, Puzzle the two-year-old Lurcher scooped the accolade of Best in Show after wowing judge Lady Hertford of Ragley Hall.

Dogs Trust Evesham’s Supporter Relations Officers Shauna Stedman is delighted with another successful event.

Shauna said:

“We’d like to say a huge thank you to the local community and all of the supporters who turned up to help us raise money for the dogs in our care. We’d also like to say a huge thank you to anyone who donated raffle and tombola prizes. Their generosity made a huge contribution to the overall success of the day, allowing us to have another successful Fun Day!

“It was wonderful to see so many people and of course not forgetting all our four-legged-friends who attended — many of which were ex-residents that we were so happy to see doing so well.”

Highlights on the day included the have-a-go agility, a grand raffle, giant tombola and games for all the family including four-legged friends who competed for their very own rosettes in the popular dog show. Funds from the Fun Day will go towards helping the rehoming centre to continue providing homeless and abandoned dogs with the best possible care as they await their forever homes.

centre please call 0300 303 0292.
