Happy International Volunteer Day
Thanks to all our volunteers for their incredible support
At Dogs Trust Evesham we care for around an average of 100 dogs at any one time, which is incredibly rewarding but also quite tiring too! It’s thanks to a team of dedicated and invaluable volunteers who come from all walks of life to help us provide the best care we possibly can
That’s why this International Volunteer Day, we’re saying thank you. Thank you for the tireless support with the dogs, to those who help out with admin, give up days to assist with fundraising, to the long term volunteers or the ones that have only just begun their volunteering journey. Thank you for just under 6000 hours you’ve given to us here at Evesham so far in 2017. We really couldn’t do it without you.
Natalie Gould our Volunteer Co-ordinator, says:
“Without our volunteers, we couldn’t give the dogs everything they need and deserve whilst they are here with us. One volunteer taking a dog for a walk frees up a member of staff to give another dog that bit more TLC that they might need, especially when they have first arrived, or a little bit of extra training or playtime. Our volunteers are a vital part of the team and we want to say a huge thank you to every single one of them for the invaluable contribution they make.”
