Love Island star visits Dogs Trust Basildon
Love Island 2018 star Ellie Brown recently visited Dogs Trust Basildon in Essex, and met with a number of the rehoming centre’s residents who are looking to ‘couple up’ with their special someone.
Just some of the hounds she met with included TicTac the Terrier Cross, Princess the Border Collie Cross and Layla the German Shepherd. She was also given a tour of the centre and its facilities and learnt more about the charity’s work of matching dogs and potential adopters together.
“I had a great time at the rehoming centre and loved meeting so many dogs that are looking for their forever homes. The staff and facilities on site are incredible, I’d advise anyone looking for a four-legged addition to their home to visit them and meet some of their lovely residents.”
In an Instagram post to more than one million of her followers, Ellie captioned:
“Thank you so much for having me today Dogs Trust Basildon. The work you do is amazing and I can’t wait to be more involved.”
Since Ellie’s post Princess and Layla have now found a home and are booked to go home with their new owners.
Dogs Trust Basildon’s Deputy Manager Kelly McMaster said:
“We’ve loved welcoming Ellie to the rehoming centre and introducing her to some of our dogs. It looks like she had a great time playing with our pooches, we can’t wait to welcome her back and update her on how Princess and Layla are settling into their new homes.”
