Are you right for Rocky?

Rocky is a beautiful nine-year-old Husky looking for a loving home with adopters who enjoy long walks. He could share his home with teenage children. He’s looking to be the only dog. He will need a home without cats, and small furries, and as Rocky has a high prey drive, care will be needed around livestock. Rocky is instantly friendly with new people and fine with visitors to the home; he could cope with a reasonably busy home environment. He is happy to be left alone at home for a few hours at a time. He is housetrained and he travels well in the car.

Is Rocky right for you?

Rocky is proving that age is just a number – you wouldn’t think he was nine, he has lots of energy and is always up for some toy play and a big walk. He loves to play ball, and you can swap a ball for another ball to get a game of fetch going. He enjoys chasing after his toys, and his favourites are of the squeaky variety. He is a character, a typical talkative Husky – speaking in his native Husky language! Out and about on his walks he enjoys exploring quieter areas and would rather avoid the crowds. He doesn’t want anything to do with other dogs and he appreciates his space. We would advice Rocky being on his lead due to his chase drive, secure fields are an excellent choice for big run time, and long-lines in suitable areas. Rocky at home likes to chill and sit in the window and watch the world go by. Rocky is quite aloof and independent. He doesn’t want too much fuss, he’s happy to find a spot near you and snooze rather than snuggle up close. He has been known to shun a comfy dog bed and instead stretch out on a rug. He loves any, and all treats and he knows a sit, wait, and down.
