Dog of the Week Shoreham
Kelly the smart German Shepherd is still looking for a home...
Dogs Trust Shoreham are looking for a new home for a super smart lady who enjoys using her brain, Kelly is looking for experienced owners who can continue her training. Once you’ve taken the time to build up a trusting bond, you’ll have gained a loyal companion who will show you all the love that she has to offer.
This playful three-year-old is lots of fun to be around – she dreams of leading a varied lifestyle, with an active family who can give her lots of enrichment at home and take her exploring on quiet walks.
Kelly is uncomfortable around other dogs so will need to walk in areas where she can avoid bumping into them. She will need to be the only pet in a household where any teenagers are over the age of 16. A garden of her own is essential so that she can have a good, off-lead run about every day.
It may take multiple visits to the Shoreham Rehoming Centre to get to know Kelly, but her carers are certain that building her friendship will be a truly rewarding experience.
If you think you could Change the Tale for Kelly, please check out her profile on the Dogs Trust website and click on the ‘Come and meet me’ button.
Our rehoming centres are not open for public browsing but you can still make an appointment to adopt or bring a dog to us. We’ve set up new processes which include social distancing measures to help keep staff and our visitors safe. Dogs Trust estimates that up to 40,000 more dogs could be at risk of abandonment in the fallout of the coronavirus crisis.
