A heartwarming donation keeps pooches snug

We were completely overwhelmed when one of our lovely supporters, Rebecca Furbear, generously donated an abundance of knitted blankets.

Continuing in her late Mother’s legacy, Rebecca set out to knit a total of 100 blankets for our dogs –using wool that had been donated by her local community, including various dog-loving businesses, friends and family.

She says:

“Last year saw us selling lots of things from my late mother and we managed to raise just under £5k for Dogs Trust. This year we have been asking people to donate wool, so I can knit blankets. It's something my mum used to do so I thought I'd set myself a target to make 100 blankets for the dogs at Dogs Trust. We have had so much wool donated and my mum's sister (my Aunt, Janet Ede) has jumped on board to help me with the knitting.”

You could tell that Rebecca and Janet put so much time, effort and love into each and every blanket, as they are all so beautifully made!

Warm and snuggly bedding to curl up in at bedtime will always go down well with our four-legged-friends, but we are sure that they will particularly appreciate the extra comfort now that we’re heading into colder seasons…

We would like to say a huge THANK YOU to everyone involved in making such a thoughtful donation to our dogs, and especially to Rebecca and her family for their continued support of our work.
