We’re feeling full of festive warmth at Shoreham!
Thoughtful gestures mean so much to all of us.
This week we’ve been so amazed by the kindness of our supporters.
We came into work on Monday morning to be greeted by a huge real Christmas tree a local garden centre donated to the staff at the Shoreham Rehoming Centre, who work every day of the year looking after our residents. It was their way of letting the staff know they are appreciated for all they do.
Later that morning Supporter Relations Officer Lisa was packing the car ready to meet her team members from around the country when a lady appeared with a bag full of goodies. Lisa had met her in the summer while giving a talk at a fundraising coffee morning. This time she had collected loose change, cooked sausages and even a bacon butty for the dogs! She also gave Lisa a huge hug and lovely Christmas card before heading off in the freezing temperatures.
Whilst trying to take the photo above, lovely Sally stuck her nose in a donation bin and came out with a gorgeous festive toy which someone had anonymously donated. She had a fantastic time bouncing around reception with it and we even had to abandon our photoshoot!
Sally is a 5 year old boxer x husky who loves her toys and loves people even more! She would love to find a new home for Christmas. You can find out more about her on her profile page.
