From 'S'lab' to slender
Olly's weight loss journey
January – it's the month of new beginnings, big plans and setting goals.
Self-care is often at the top of the resolutions, yet we tend to start slipping back into old habits the further into the year we get. And it just so happens that the half way point of this month, marks the beginning of 'National Obesity Awareness Week'.
So, what better time to share some motivation, and celebrate one of our previously 'portly' pooches, who has slimmed right down to his perfect size.
Our loveable Labrador Crossbreed, Olly, came into our care in April of last year, weighing a hefty 44.5 kg. Being a slightly more mature chap & having not coped so well in the kennel environment, nine-year-old Olly was placed into Foster Care.
With the help and TLC of his dedicated carer's, Olly has managed to lose a whopping 14.5kg; now weighing a much more fitting, 30kg!
Looking and feeling healthier than ever, and with weight-loss no longer prevailing Olly's list, he can focus his aspirations on what he's always wanted most — finding a forever home.
We are all very proud of Olly and so happy to see him in such good shape, but the icing on top of the 'sugar free' cake, would be to see him living life with his Special Someone by his side.
If you think you could offer this tall, dark & handsome dog his 'pawfect' home, then please don't hesitate to contact the Shoreham rehoming team by calling 0300 3030 0294 or stopping by for a visit. The Rehoming Centre is based at Shoreham Road, Brighton, BN43 5LT.
