Second Mother’s Day in kennels on the cards for overlooked doggy mum
This Mother’s Day, Dogs Trust Salisbury is searching for a home for a doggy mum who watched her pups head off to their forever homes more than a year ago, but is still waiting for her special someone.
Seven-year-old Terrier cross Bailey, found herself in the care of Dogs Trust in September 2016 when she was pregnant. After seeing her puppies steal the hearts of their new families, the team at Dogs Trust Salisbury are hoping it's Bailey’s turn to get the chance to experience the love of a devoted human parent of her own.
Bailey can be shy when meeting new people so potential new owners would need to visit several times to build up a bond. But the team say that she is super clever, and loves nothing more than playing with her tennis ball and showing off her skills.
Dogs Trust Salisbury Rehoming Centre Manager, Tery Laffin, says:
"It's such a shame that Bailey is still yet to find her forever home and we’d love to see this special mum find her special someone soon. It would be wonderful if she could be given the second chance she deserves to have the love of a great family.
“Bailey would be an amazing pet once a bond has been built up with her new owners. She’s looking for an adult only home with owners who can give her all the time and attention she needs. As she’d like lots of quality time with her new family, she needs to be the only pet in the home.
"She is looking at spending her second Mother’s Day with us so it's definitely time she had the chance to find the loving home she deserves."
Bailey is a very intelligent, loving girl who is looking for new owners who can visit the centre several times to build up a good bond. If you can give Bailey a second chance, please contact Dogs Trust Salisbury on 0300 303 0292.
