Can you lend a paw at doggy fun day?
Staff at Dogs Trust Salisbury are appealing for volunteers and donations ahead of their annual Summer Fun Day at the Rehoming Centre on Sunday 10th June.
The annual Fun Day helps raise pounds for hounds whilst being a fun day out for two and four-legged friends alike, with activities including a fun dog show, tombola, raffle, family games and activities, and dog displays. The rehoming centre is looking for volunteers aged 18 years and over to assist with stalls, the tombola, refreshments, organising activities and various other Fun Day jobs.
Dogs Trust Salisbury would also be extremely grateful for suitable prizes for the tombola and Grand Raffle. Donations from previous years have included food hampers, meal vouchers, shopping vouchers, days out and weekend breaks.
Dogs Trust Salisbury’s Supporter Relations Officer, Lucy Hooper, said:
“Volunteers are vital to Dogs Trust, particularly at our Fun Days which raise much needed funds to help us care for the homeless hounds at our rehoming centre. We are looking for friendly, helpful and hardworking people who love dogs and want to contribute to a rewarding day! We are also hoping to receive some great donations from our generous supporters for our Grand Raffle which is a real highlight of the day.”
