Covid-19 update: our rehoming centres aren’t open for public browsing, but we’re still rehoming and taking in dogs, with measures in place to keep staff and adopters safe. Find out more about how national Covid-19 restrictions are affecting our rehoming procedures and other activity.

Dogs Trust set to bring second-hand chic to Poole

Dogs Trust is inviting local people in and around Poole to celebrate the grand opening of its newest charity shop on February 20th at 11am.

To mark the occasion, VIP’s (very important pooches) from Dogs Trust’s nearby Salisbury rehoming centre will be coming along to help bargain hunters and their canine companions sniff out the latest fashion finds and vintage pieces.

Debbie Cheeseman, Dogs Trust Charity Shop Area Manager comments:

“After months of planning and preparation, we are delighted to be opening our newest charity shop here in Poole. We have already received so many generous donations but would be so grateful for any extra items that can be spared. We’ll be stocking everything and anything – from books and clothes to ornaments and household items so come on down and bag yourself a bargain.

“As well as offering customers to browse a huge selection of pre-loved items, we are also here to promote an important message that second hand doesn’t mean second best when it comes to clothes or the thousands of abandoned rescue dogs awaiting loving homes in our rehoming centres. All funds raised through the sale of items in the shop go towards giving our dogs the best possible care whilst they await a loving new home.”

If you have any items you would like to donate to the shop please drop them into Dogs Trust Poole Charity Shop, 155a High Street, Poole, BH15 1AU.
