Dogs Trust brings retail therapy to Poole High Street

Dogs Trust officially opened the doors of their latest charity shop in Poole yesterday (Thursday 20th February) with the help of a Very Important Pooch (VIP) who is looking for his forever home. 

The Dogs Trust charity shop on Poole High Street offers a wide range of second-hand goods from clothing to household items to books and DVDs. Savvy shoppers and their canine companions will be able to browse the store together and all money raised will go towards looking after the hundreds of dogs cared for by Dogs Trust. 

Dogs Trust Poole shop manager, Lukasz Wdowiak, said:

“We are delighted to have officially opened the shop here in Poole. It’s a fantastic place with a strong community spirit. We have already received so many generous donations but would be so grateful for any extra items that can be spared. We’ll be stocking everything and anything – from books and clothes to ornaments and household items so come on down and bag yourself a bargain.” 

VIP (Very Important Pooch), Tyrone, a four-year-old Lurcher from the Salisbury Rehoming Centre joined the team in meeting both the two-legged and four-legged guests at the opening. He is a sweet boy who looking for an active family to share playtime with. He could live with children aged 11 and above and potentially another dog.

The new Poole Dogs Trust charity shop is located at 155a High Street, Poole, BH15 1AU. The store will be open from 9am-5pm Monday to Saturday. The shop is looking for donations of all shapes and sizes, particularly clothing and accessories. All funds raised through the shop will go towards funding Dogs Trust’s work across the country.
