COVID-19 info: Our rehoming centres are currently closed to the public but you can still adopt some of our dogs: take a look at their profiles to see which ones. We’ve set up a new rehoming process which includes social distancing measures to help keep staff and adopters safe.

You’d be barking mad to miss doggy fun day!

Dogs and their owners are being invited to Dogs Trust Salisbury’s Fun Day on Sunday 2nd June which is only a month away.

Taking place at the Rehoming Centre in Newton Tony from 11am-3pm, the event promises plenty of fun and games for everyone including the ever-popular Fun Dog Show with classes including: Most Appealing Eyes, Waggiest Tail and Best Rescue, so make sure your four-legged friends have their paws at the ready. All proceeds from the day will go towards the continued care of residents at the Rehoming Centre.

Other activities available at the Fun Day include have-a-go-agility, a tombola, the grand raffle, live music various stalls and refreshments.

The team would be grateful for any donations for the raffle and tombola, as well as anyone wanting to lend a paw and volunteer to help on the day.

Dogs Trust Salisbury Supporter Relations Officer, Lucy Hooper, said:

“Everything we do is for our rescue dogs and we hope you and your four-legged friends can join us on the day and show your support. We can promise you a really fun day out for all the family, with lots of activities available throughout the day.

“It’s a fantastic opportunity to meet local dog lovers and raise pounds for the hounds in our care as the proceeds from the day help us to care for dogs like five-year-old Lurcher Dancer, currently staying at the Rehoming Centre.”

Dancer is a sensitive girl who loves cuddles and being in the company of her human friends. She's an intelligent girl with a cheeky character and enjoys showing you how clever she is, She’s looking for an adult only home and would prefer to be the only dog in the house so she can lap up all the attention.

Gates will be open 11am-3pm. Entry is £2 per adult and £1 for children.
