Donations needed to help cute canines this Christmas

Festive frolics are afoot at Dogs Trust Salisbury as the team deck the halls in preparation for its annual Christmas Fair on Saturday 30th November.

With just a few weeks to go until the Newton Tony-based rehoming centre hosts the much-loved festive event, staff are on the lookout for donations of gift sets, sweet treats and bottles of alcohol for its tombola and they are appealing for dog-loving bakers to make a cake or two for the ever popular refreshments stand.

The team would also be grateful for voucher donations and larger prizes from local business for their ever-popular Grand Raffle.

Lucy Hooper, Supporter Relations Officer at Dogs Trust Salisbury, said:

“The Christmas Fair is one of our main fundraising events of the year and it’s always a great day for everyone who comes along.

“Every penny raised makes sure we can give our dogs everything they need throughout the year, not just at Christmas, whilst they wait for their forever homes.”

At the event, which runs from 11-2pm, visitors and their four-legged friends will be able to have their picture taken with Santa Paws, there will be gift and craft stalls as well as cake stalls, and games. Entry is £1 for adults and free for children and parking is free.

If you are able to help, please send or drop off any donations to Dogs Trust Salisbury, 45 Amesbury Road, Newton Tony, SP4 0HW.
