Even the greatest mind of our time appreciates a good book...
On World Book Day, Holmes is taking the opportunity to study some of his friends here at Dogs Trust Salisbury.
Holmes is a super-handsome, Lurcher/Staffordshire Bull Terrier cross, who's looking for his very special forever home. Like his namesake, Holmes is an extremely intelligent chap who thrives on exercising his mind and learning new things. He enjoys getting outside for interesting walks in quiet areas, where he can relax, have a good sniff and explore his environment.
As the great detective himself, our Holmes enjoys a quiet home with few visitors. This lovely lad will need to be the only dog in an adult-only home. He'll need direct access to a good-size, secure garden where he can explore and play safely off lead. Because he can be a little shy when meeting people for the first time, Holmes would like owners that can visit him multiple times, so you can both get to know each other and become great friends.
Claire Rowe, Manager at Dogs Trust Salisbury, said:
"Holmes has been with us for a while now, and it truly baffles us as to why. We're not even sure that his great namesake could solve this puzzle. Our Holmes is an adorable chap who loves the simple things in life, quiet walks, tasty treats, squeaky toys, a comfy bed, and interacting with his humans."
This gorgeous boy is definitely no Hound Of The Baskerville...see what we did there? He's an intelligent, active, fun-loving fella, who loves interacting with his humans and being in your company. He would make the perfect addition to a home that can give him a little time and space to find his paws. Once settled, Holmes would make an adorable companion and guaranteed BFF.
It's by no means elementary (see we did it again) why Holmes hasn't found his forever home yet. Still, we have all fingers and paws crossed that on World Book Day, this puzzle can be quickly deduced, and handsome Holmes will be relaxing in the company of new friends very soon.
