Homeless mum longs for some motherly love
Dogs Trust Merseyside is hoping a homeless mum will find a loving family of her own in time for Mother’s Day, after seeing her pup head off to his forever home.
Two-year-old Patsy arrived at the centre last October as a stray and gave birth just days later. After being the perfect mum, she then had to say a fond farewell to her puppy, Maddox, when he headed home in December in the arms of his new owners.
But sadly, Patterdale Terrier Patsy is still looking for her forever family. Now the team at the centre are hoping some motherly love will head her way this Mother’s Day.
Aimee Best, Supporter Relations Officer, said:
“She’d obviously been through quite an ordeal before arriving at the centre and then within days she gave birth, so we are all so proud of how she coped. She was a great mum and is a great girl.
“She is a really happy little dog and loves nothing more than playing fetch with her two-legged friends. She may be small but she has a huge character and we are all hoping she finds her own special family really soon.”
Patsy needs an active home as she is so full of life and likes to be on the go. She would enjoy doing training to keep her mind active and will make a great family dog in a home with children aged twelve or over. She loves the company of her human friends, so she will need a home where someone is around a lot of the time, particularly until she finds her paws in her new pad.
