Smokey’s dream finally comes true!
Centre’s unluckiest dog heads home for the last time.
Back in October, we featured Smokey on our news page as the centre’s unluckiest dog. He had been returned numerous times through no fault of his own, and we hoped Friday the 13th would turn out to be his lucky day. Just over five weeks later, staff at the centre are elated that Smokey has finally found a new home.
Dave and Jill Potter have fostered Smokey for the last couple of months, as part of Dogs Trust’s Home From Home scheme. Smokey has had to have a few medical tests recently and after finding out that he had a minor heart problem, the Potters felt this would make it even harder for him to find a home.
So we are delighted that they made the decision that as he had settled in so well, and they knew they could give him the love and care he needs, they were going to keep him. Also, they’d obviously fallen madly for him!
We wish the Potters and Smokey a wonderful life together, and are delighted that he has finally found his ideal home, and a place on a comfy sofa of his own.
