Aimee Best – Merseyside Supporter Relations Officer
Aimee Best covers Merseyside
I’ve worked for Dogs Trust as the Supporter Relations Officer at the Merseyside Rehoming Centre since 2008. The role is very varied and no two days are the same.
I offer free talks to community groups and also organise tours of the rehoming centre, as well as dealing with all the local enquiries about donations in memory of a loved one. I can also talk to you about the Canine Care Card Scheme and answer any legacy enquiries.
The annual Fun Day is also my responsibility and I help with the social media coverage for the rehoming centre too!
I have one dog - Freda the Mutt, aged 11-years-young - and I genuinely do like mutts best! My favourite colour is purple. The thing I like best about my job is being around dogs and dog-lovers everyday – you can’t beat it. My hobbies include extreme DIY-ing; we built our last house and are currently renovating a 1920s house that needs everything to be fixed. I also recently made my first ever pair of curtains and was a little bit proud of how they came out. Finally, a little known fact about me is that I learned to drive in a Citroën 2CV and they are still my favourite type of car. I get super excited on the rare occasions I see one on the road.
If you would like any information about booking a talk or tour for your community group or are enquiring about the Canine Care Card Scheme or legacies, then please don’t hesitate to call me on 0151 949 5518 or email me at [email protected]
