It's a 'land-bark' day for Harry and Meghan as they find their 'furry-tail' ending
As the eyes of the world are trained on the royal wedding, we're busy making preparations for our own big day!
For as tens of millions tune-in to watch Prince Harry and Meghan Markle tie the knot in the most eagerly anticipated wedding of the year, the team at our Manchester rehoming centre has celebrations of a canine kind on their mind.
Adorable Crossbreed puppies Harry and Meghan are two of a litter of ten born at the centre, all given Royal names to celebrate the fact that they are beginning a new chapter in their young lives on the day the Prince and the Hollywood actress become husband and wife.
Born on National Puppy Day (23 March) Harry and Meghan along with Duchess, Prince, William, Henry, George, Windsor, Charlie and Albert have all stolen the hearts of new families and Saturday is the big day for them as it’s the day they head off to their loving homes.
Dawn Bishop, Rehoming Centre Manager at Dogs Trust Manchester, says:
“On the day the couple commit themselves to each other for the rest of their lives, our lovely and very excited owners will be making exactly the same commitment to their furry, four-legged family member. It has been a joy to look after them and no doubt they will be treated like royalty in their new homes!
“It’s wonderful that everyone has found their special someone and we wish Prince Harry and Meghan, and our terrific ten, all the happiness they deserve.”
