Two homeless hounds at Dogs Trust Manchester have their paws crossed in the hope that they will be lucky in love this Valentine’s Day.
As the most romantic day of the year approaches, staff at the Denton-based rehoming centre are hoping two-year-old Crossbreed Brooke and nine-year-old Rottweiler Charlie find their special someone.
Dawn Bishop, Rehoming Centre Manager, says:
“Sadly Charlie was found as a stray which has knocked his confidence so one of the qualities he’s looking for in his ideal partner is patience as he likes to take his time to get to know you. He loves good food and has a great sense of fun but likes his own space too so would prefer a quiet home where he can enjoy cosy nights in.
“Brooke is an adorable young girl who has a lot of love to give and will definitely fill a space in a dog-lover’s heart! She is very intelligent and learns new tricks really quickly and is happy to show them off to her adoring audience! She is the ideal mix as she thoroughly enjoys going out on an adventure but also likes lots of cuddles and chilling out with her loved ones.
“With so much love to give, Brooke would suit having more than one person looking after her in the home and would be more than happy to be at the heart of a family with children aged over eleven.”
Both Charlie and Brooke would like to be the only four-legged friends in their forever homes so they can lap up all the love their new families have to give.
“Both Brooke and Charlie have been waiting for several months to find their love match and we really hope they steal someone’s heart this Valentine’s Day. They have seen so many of their canine companions head off to their forever homes and it is such a shame as they are both lovely dogs who simply need to be given a chance to show all the love they have to give.”
