Dogs Trust Manchester to go ‘nuts’ for Peanut Butter Day

Staff at Dogs Trust Manchester are preparing to cook up a storm on Sunday 24th January to celebrate National Peanut Butter Day!

Dogs Trust will sometimes use peanut butter as a high value treat or training aid on dogs with specific challenges, but their human friends love it, and hope it will help them raise lots of money for the homeless hounds in their care at the centre’s event, between 10-4pm on Sunday.

Rehoming Centre staff will be selling homemade peanut butter biscuits for visitors, but would be grateful for any donations of peanut butter.

Dogs Trust would like to remind dog owners that peanut butter should only be given in small amounts once in a while, as too much may cause dogs to have an upset stomach. If you are unsure, do contact your Vet.

If you do pop into the centre on Sunday to visit us and have a nut allergy, please do let the centre staff know.
