Come woof come all!

Dogs Trust Manchester is calling on dog lovers to lend a much needed helping hand at their Summer Fun Day.

The fundraising extravaganza attracts thousands of visitors and their four-legged friends to Heaton Park every year, raising thousands to help the charity look after the dogs in its care. But this year they are in desperate need of volunteers to help out at the family fun day.

Louise Danson, Supporter Relations Officer for Dogs Trust Manchester and organiser of the event, said:

“To have as many stalls as last year to help us raise as much money as possible so we can look after the hundreds of gorgeous dogs that find themselves homeless every year, we really need volunteers to run the stalls. We also need people to help out with our fun activities for dogs, including our Doggie Dash and Temptation Alley and as it’s so busy we need people to be on hand to help visitors find their way around!

“It’s a fantastic day out and any dog-lover will enjoy it and get lots of loving licks as a thank you for giving us their time!”

The Fun Day will take place on Sunday 1 July, 11am-4pm at Heaton Park. If you would like to find out more about volunteering on the day, please call 0161 337 3605 or e-mail [email protected]. You can apply online from Monday 21 May and interviews will be held on Monday 11 June.
