Dogs Trust Manchester is in urgent need of donations for its Christmas Fair
With less than a month to go, staff at Dogs Trust Manchester are in urgent need of donations for their Christmas Fair which every year helps raise thousands of pounds to help them look after their homeless hounds.
Around 100 dogs will spend Christmas at the Rehoming Centre and the team are hoping that as in previous years, generous members of the public and local businesses will help make the Fair a success by donating everything from bottles of wine to chocolates to toys, toiletries and good-as-new items for dogs.
Louise Campbell, Supporter Relations Officer at Dogs Trust Manchester, said:
“The Christmas Fair is one of our main fundraising events and every penny raised makes sure we can give our dogs everything they need throughout the year, not just at Christmas, whilst they wait for their forever homes.
“The Bottle and Chocolate Treats stall along with the raffle and tombola and doggie good-as-new are some of the most popular stalls but we have hardly any items yet!”
At the event, on Sunday 3 December, visitors and their four-legged friends will be able to have their picture taken with Santa Paws, there will be gift and craft stalls as well as cake stalls, mulled wine, face painting, a children’s craft corner and games for everyone. The event takes place between 10am and 4pm and entry and parking are free.
If you are able to help, please send or drop off any donations to Dogs Trust Manchester, Parkway, Denton, M34 3SG.
