It’s no secret that our dedicated staff regularly go above and beyond when it comes to caring for our rescue dogs during their stay in kennels, but this week one of our long term residents was given an extra special treat.
Oliver, a 9 year old Collie who has been with us for a while now, loves going out on his walks. His handlers are always commenting on how happy he is when he’s out and about, so they decided to take him with them on a day of hiking in the Peak District.
He had such an amazing time and Canine Carers Cameron and Daniel managed to capture some fabulous videos of him exploring the countryside. Take a look:
Throughout the day they reached the summit of Kinder Scout, which is an impressive 2088 ft mountain, as well as taking in some truly beautiful scenery along the way.
Not only did Oliver lead the way all the way to the top, but he showed how brilliantly he walks on lead, as well as showing off his recall skills.
Oliver is a very sweet natured dog who would love to find a new home with owners who enjoy a bit outdoors adventure! If this sounds like you then please contact the Manchester Rehoming Centre on 0161 337 3600, or find out more about him on his profile page.
