Lexi the Staffy from Dogs Trust Manchester hiking in the peak district

We had some truly wonderful news recently here in Dogs Trust Manchester. One of our long term dogs has finally found her Special Someone.

Lexi, a beautiful 6-year-old Staffordshire Bull Terrier has spent 518 days waiting for her second chance, and finally she has left the building for her new life.

During her time in the rehoming centre she had become a real favourite amongst the staff, so for a special treat she was take for a lovely hike in the Peak District on her final day here.

Her handlers Danny & Cameron spent the whole day with her enjoying the great outdoors and scaled the summit of Kinder Scout, which Lexi managed with no trouble at all. In fact, she could have gone round again!

Take a look at the video below which captures Lexi’s day out with her best friends. It just goes to show how our staff continually go the extra mile, or miles in this case, for the dogs in our care.

Good luck Lexi. We’re all going to miss you.
