Dogs Trust Dogmobile gears up for a tail wagging tour
On Wednesday 20th and Thursday 21st January, Dogs Trust will be raising pounds for hounds at a doggie meet and greet in Nuneaton.
The charity’s Dogmobile will be making an appearance on Harefield Road in Nuneaton town centre from 10am-4pm on Wednesday and Kenilworth Market, Abbey End, the following day from 9am-4pm to give supporters and doting dog lovers the chance to find out more about the work of Dogs Trust and to meet some of the charity’s four legged friends.
The Dogmobile will be carrying pooches from Dogs Trust Kenilworth Rehoming Centre, who are all looking for their ideal homes. These charismatic canines will be there to greet members of the public with plenty of licks, in return for a scratch behind the ears or a tasty treat. Experts will also be on hand to offer advice on finding your perfect dog and to talk about the various opportunities to support the charity.
Dogmobile Assistant Manager, Laura Nicholas, explains:
“The Dogmobile is a fun, interactive way to help people find out more about rehoming a rescue dog and the brilliant work of Dogs Trust. Whilst dogs are not directly rehomed from the Dogmobile, if you do find that it’s puppy love after meeting our adorable doggies, we encourage you to visit our centres to find out more about making a new best friend.
“You’ll also be able to find out about the charity’s fantastic ‘Sponsor a Dog’ scheme, how you can get your dog microchipped for free at Dogs Trust centres before it becomes compulsory in April, how you could be a foster carer for homeless dogs and how you can make a difference by volunteering at the Dogs Trust Kenilworth centre.”
