Pat and Chat

What a great way to spend the day

This month we were kindly invited by Coventry Universities Student Union to come in for a ‘Pat & Chat’ session on campus.

We weren’t quite sure what to expect but Fonzie and Buddie, two of our residents were up for some total pampering. Of course the dogs stole the show and 134 students queued to meet and greet them both and us of course…..we hope! With many international students it was a great opportunity to talk about our international work as well as talking about how the students can help us on a local basis with voluntary opportunities. We were all quite exhausted by the end of the session (it may have been the three flights of stairs we all climbed to save using the lift) and there was plenty of snoring to be heard on our journey back home.

We’d like to thank the members of the Students Union for setting this up and for their hospitality on the day, also to all the students that dropped by to say hello in between their classes – it was lovely to meet you all.

If you are a member of a community group and would like us to come out and give a presentation or would like to visit the rehoming centre for a tour, please contact Jane or Helen for more information on  01926 486010 or email [email protected] or [email protected].
