Open evening for potential volunteers

Dogs Trust Ilfacombe is inviting local dog lovers to come and visit the rehoming centre next week to find out about exciting new volunteering opportunities at the centre. The doors will be open on Wednesday 18th March from 6pm to 7.30pm. As well as meeting some of the canine residents and staff, all guests will be treated to refreshments and a tour of the kennels.

Current Positions include:

Kennel Assistants - General day to day cleaning, walking dogs, gardening and laundry to name but a few. A great chance to see how Dogs Trust cares for its canine residents.

Home Visitors - Helping Dogs Trust to visit potential new homes to ensure they are suitable for a dog, such as checking how high fences are.

Home from Home Scheme – Dog lovers needed to foster some of the canine residents who have been at the centre for a while and would benefit from being rehomed from a home environment.

Events Volunteers – Help needed to represent Dogs Trust at various local events and also help out at the Rehoming Centre’s Open Day.

Full training and support will be given for all these roles so do visit Dogs Trust Ilfracombe, or call them on 01271 812 709
