Could you be Lucky’s special someone on unluckiest day of the year?
Our team in Ilfracombe hope Friday 13th will be a lucky day for one aptly-named dog, who has yet to find his special someone.
Six-year-old Retriever, Lucky, has been with us since August, and despite seeing plenty of his furry counterparts find loving homes, Lucky and his carers are hoping that fate will be on his side on one of the unluckiest days of the year and he will defy the odds to finally find the loving home he deserves.
Lin Knight, Rehoming Centre Assistant Manager at Dogs Trust Ilfracombe, comments:
“It’s such a shame that Lucky hasn’t found his perfect home yet, but with a name like his, we’re confident we’ll find a home for him soon. Despite the superstition that Friday 13th brings bad luck, we’re really hoping potential new owners will put any superstitions to one side and bring good fortune to Lucky in the form of a forever home.
“We believe a dog is for life so not only will you be offering a four-legged friend a happy home, but you will be gaining a new best friend. We don’t see what’s so unlucky about that!”
Lucky is a happy chap who loves to play – especially with a football. He enjoys adventures and will happily jump in the car to see where the next trip will take him. He is a clever lad, who already knows lots of commands and is looking for an active home with a family who can keep him occupied with lots of games and exercise. He could live with children over 12 but one preferably without other dogs.
If Lucky has charmed you and you can offer him a home, please call Dogs Trust Ilfracombe on 0300 303 0292.
