Doggie duo looking for double the love this Valentine’s day

Love is in the air at Dogs Trust Ilfracombe as staff appeal for a home for a devoted doggy duo ahead of the most romantic day of the year.

It really ‘muttley’ love for nine-year-old Boxer cross Mastiff, Scooby Doo, and seven-year-old Staffordshire Bull Terrier, Scrappy Doo, after they arrived at the Hazledene-based rehoming centre together after a change in their owner’s circumstances. They have always lived together and spend their days enjoying walks  and having a fuss with their favourite canine carers. The team are hoping they will find their special someone just in time for Valentine’s Day.

Dogs Trust Ilfracombe’s Manager Elise Watson, said:

“Scooby Doo and Scrappy Doo absolutely adore each other. They spend every waking moment together; they really are the best of friends. They are a fantastic pair of dogs and would make a wonderful addition to a family home who can offer double the love and take on this perfect pair.”

“This doggy duo is hoping for someone who will love them ‘droolly’, madly, deeply and rehome them as a pair for Valentine’s Day. Whilst they’re a devoted duo, they are quite different in personalities – Scrappy Doo is much more lively and loves all the affection for himself, whereas Scooby Doo is a true gent and likes his quiet time.

“Their new family will need to be patient while they adjust to life in a new home. They could live with teenage children and are happy to hop in the car to head out on an adventure.”
