Fun for Devon dog owners in the "Seek and Sniff" trail this Easter
Dog lovers in North Devon are being encouraged to put their best paws forward for a new event in the doggy calendar this April.
Dogs Trust Ilfracombe has organised a "Seek and Sniff" Trail at Wistlandpound Reservoir, on the edge of Exmoor National Park, between Saturday 6th to Sunday 28th April. Ideal for both two and four-legged fun seekers, the self guided trail takes you around the beautiful reservoir with answers to questions to 'sniff out' along the way. Entrants completing and returning the trail form before the deadline will also be entered into a prize draw.
Dogs Trust Ilfracombe Supporter Relations Officer, Amy Bingham, says:
"April happens to be National Pet Month, so what better way to get your whole family and your furry friends together than by taking part in our "Seek and Sniff Trail" in the beautiful grounds of Wistlandpound Reservoir. It is also a great opportunity to walk off all of those extra Easter eggs you may have eaten!
"The trail itself is a 1.5 mile circular walk and is suitable for all ages. Although the trail follows an accessible footpath, there are two moderate inclines, with those taking part recommended to wear suitable footwear. We're really hoping it encourages families to get out and about in the fresh air, keep fit and have fun at the same time!"
Trail packs are just £4 and are available from Dogs Trust Ilfracombe's reception from now until Sunday 28th April. There is also a £1.50 car park fee of £1.50 at Wistlandpound Reservoir.
