Dog foster carers needed in Ilfracombe

We're looking for dedicated Foster Carers to help care for some of our dogs who prefer to be outside of kennel life for various reasons as part of our Home from Home fostering scheme.

We're particularly in need of people who live in a household with no children and have no other dogs or cats.

To apply you must meet the following criteria:

  • Over the age of 18
  • Able to travel to your local our rehoming centre regularly.

Volunteer gardener and grounds assistant

Our Volunteer Gardeners & Grounds Assistants make sure our rehoming centres are always looking their best. They help our Maintenance Operative keep our grounds clean, tidy and well maintained.

Volunteer Canine Assistant

Help keep our dogs happy and healthy with regular exercise and enrichment, as well as helping to ensure that all our canine facilities are in tip top condition.

A volunteer who's dream came true

Charlotte, who had volunteered as Kennel Assistant always dreamed of a job with Dogs Trust, and in 2019, her dream came true. She had previously worked as a dental nurse and was able to transfer her skills. She now cares for four legged patients instead of the two in her role as vet nurse assistant.
